The Woodlands, Texas Best Place to Live
I live just north of Houston in a place called The Woodlands. It is probably the best place to live in Texas although Sugarland is often referred to as the best place. The reason that The Woodlands is left off is that it is not a city yet. it has 85,000 people but won’t be officially a city till somewhere around 2014. Look for it to climb to the top of the best cities to live.

since 2000. Housing affordability and a strong job market seem enough to lure people from all over the country. The city has invested millions over the last five years in expanding infrastructure by adding trains, bolstering the downtown business district and funding the arts, which has helped to centralize–to an extent–the city, which has always been more famous for sprawl and oil. It also helps that on an everyday cost basis, among the cities we studied, Houston is the cheapest place to live.
They key there is to live well. it is affordable and has great pay, but living well is what makes it one of the fastest growing places. Now The Woodlands is as good as it comes near Houston. If you looking for a better live I whole heartedly recommend The Woodlands.

As a citizen in one of the most expensive cities in the world (London), I am considering moving to a more warmer and cheaper part of the world. The Woodlands is a place I had never even considered!
Well howdy there pardner.. I didn’t realize we waz neighbors. Well not really neighbors, as I’m all the way up here north of Dallas. Fellow Texans though!
As a former Houstonian I must say the heat is oppressive and the crime a bit high for my taste. Great food, cheap and close to the coast are pluses but the weather and crime I could do without.
Crime in The Woodlands is pretty low, the education level is much higher than any other state. The heat isn’t as bad as everyone says.
Just make sure you get a house with a pool! My kids love it.
