I wish more people would adopt this attitude. I was laid off for 18 months back in 2003 and as you can imagine wracked up some staggering debt. And do you know what I've been doing for the past 3 years? Working 60 hours a week at my regular job and more recently putting in probably another 20-30 hours a week building an online income. I've paid down a good portion of my debt during that time, rebuilt my credit which was destroyed during the layoff and built some protection for the future. There's no way I'm gonna get stuck in the same position again should another layoff come down. Let's go people, get off your lazy whining butts and pay down that debt. I love this post.
