You can normally save hundreds a year on your car insurance if you do a few things.
Have the appropriate deductible for you. Many people have it set for $500, you may save money if you raise it to $1000. We lowered ours to $50 and found that we liked this better and our insurance rates only went up $2 a month approximately. This peace of mind was good for us, and has actually saved us money when we have needed to replace our windshield.
