Save Money on Your Car Insurance

You can normally save hundreds a year on your car insurance if you do a few things.
Have the appropriate deductible for you. Many people have it set for $500, you may save money if you raise it to $1000. We lowered ours to $50 and found that we liked this better and our insurance rates only went up $2 a month approximately. This peace of mind was good for us, and has actually saved us money when we have needed to replace our windshield.
If you have more than one vehicle make sure they are insured on the same policy. You will get a second car discount. Try this if you have home owner’s insurance or renters insurnance as well.
Consider enrolling any teenager in the household in a defensive driving class. This can save a bundle. Make sure and report it to your insurance company when complete. Also report good grades as this will sometimes help.
Here is our number one recommendation to save money on your auto insurance. Ask for discounts on all types of insurance. Tell them why they should lower it. Tell them about good driving, no tickets, no accidents, long time customer and anthing else that may get you lower rates. Call a couple of times a year and ask for more discounts. Over a period of a couple of years, this will bring down your rates by hundreds of dollars.
Also, drive safe, aggressive driving causes accidents and raises rates. So always be safe, and ask for discounts!
