Prosper.com Lending and Borrowing

I signed up with Prosper.com back in May but never funded. They asked me to confirm who I was so never did send them my driver’s license. Until today. I am not going to give Prosper.com a chance. I will start with a low amount and finance some people.

I see Prosper as an interesting idea. If the borrowers pay back then the lender gets a better rate than they normally get elsewhere. Also the borrower gets a better rate than they would get elsewhere.

So I will loan a few hundred bucks once my Prosper.com account gets funded from my bank. It says it can take up to 4 days.

I thought about lending some money, but so many of them seem like they are in trouble for borrowing too much money and though they may have the best of intentions they may just find that they end up getting right back in even more debt if they haven’t dealt with the lifestyle problems that caused them to get into those problems in the first place.

I also figured I was spending way more time going through the site and trying to pick out people than it would ever be worth it to me in interest earnings!

So I decided to concentrate on blogging instead and that’s probably why I ended up here.

I wish you the best of luck with it, I think it would be possible to make money with the loans but it’s just not for me.

Melsky I can definitely see how the time put into it can add up. It is interesting to read about everyone that is looking for a loan.

    Addicting almost.
