Problogger Link Sends Great Visitors

There are some sites that make an impact. The other day Darren Rowse of Problogger.net did a post with a lot of links. MoreMerchant.com has a handful of links in this post. What I found out about Darren’s readers is that they do just that. They read! The average reader he sent to MoreMerchant.com stayed on the site for 6:58! This is far greater than most sites.

Darren himself said that the average reader stays on 30 seconds to 2 minutes in his most recent video blog post. This time is fantastic. I believe that if people actually take sometime on MoreMerchant.com they will come back. So this is something important to me to track.

Also the links the other day on Problogger established the 1 day record for this site. Now I am giving all credit to my friend Darren. Due to Darren’s post a few other sites picked up the links as well. One link was Cheat your way to $1000 a day and the other link that received a lot of traffic was Want a Technorati Boost for your Blog?. So Darren was responsible for most of the traffic. The stats show this.

This site has always done ok in Alexa but has not averaged below 100,000 until Darren linked this site up. Alexa is nothing to put all your faith in it but when it skyrockets up it is always fun to see.

Good quality traffic is worth something and Darren of Problogger.net has some great traffic. We also believe our readers at MoreMerchant.com are fewer but are also die hard readers.

What other sites have you seen such a dynamic response from when being linked?

thanks for this post - it’s always great to see how cool my readers are :-) They do tend to hang around for a while and are very open to subscribing to new blogs that give quality content - guess they like the change from my blog ;-)
