Do you ever validate what advertising program is best for your sites? Do you always run one program and never check to see if there is another way to make more money?
Lately I have been doing a check on Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) versus Google Adsense. In the past Yahoo has been as much as 300% more than Google Adsense. Although recently (since the Microsoft buyout of Yahoo) YPN rates have dropped
dramatically.
Now I see Google Adsense paying 40% more than YPN. These rates do vary a bit by site, but my overall average is 40%. Without doing an ounce of more work I have given myself a 40% raise on many of my sites.
