Well I’m not a Yank but I have at least two good reasons. Commodities are in demand, and it’s also an investment in the Canadian dollar, which is increasing in relationship to the greenback. So are other currencies however. Commodities, are not going to be in demand in the case of recession though, and if China’s economy cools.
1. move your money out of dollar based assets.
2. as for commodities, you can not beat oil. The world needs it and will continue to need it for the rest of our life time.
