My Top 3 Firefox Extensions

Firefox is an excellent browser. I made the switch from Maxthon which I liked but am much happier with Firefox and am glad I was finally persuaded to make the move.

What makes Firefox even greater is the abundance of great add-ons or extensions. Here are my top 3 Firefox extensions.

1. Gmail Manager - Gmail is the fastest growing free email on the web. It is by far my favorite as I have even started using it for my domains that I use. I wanted an easier way to check and the best way is through the Gmail Manager.
Allows you to manage multiple Gmail accounts and receive new mail notifications. Displays your account details including unread messages, saved drafts, spam messages, labels with new mail, space used, and new mail snippets.

2.Google Browser Sync - Google Browser Sync is an extension that continuously synchronizes your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions.

3. IE Tab - This is a great tool for web developers, since you can easily see how your webpage displayed in IE with just one click and then switch back to Firefox. Also as a Firefox user I know that there are times when Firefox just won’t work on a website. Often times with video, so this handy tool allows a click of a button to see the site.

I didn’t know about point 3 until reading your post. I am the webmaster of our church over the past eight years and I keep all the browsers so if it’s needed I’ll just check a new page in each of the browser. Having an IE Tab is really great.

Gmail Manager is something I couldn’t go without now. I usually create a new Gmail account for any new website that I startup, and checking them individually can really add up in time.

Thanks for the reminder about Google Browser Sync. I remember reading about it when it came out but not getting around to trying it. I’m going to install it now and see how useful it is to me.
