My Phone call from YPN (Yahoo Publisher Network)
YPN called me today. They are working on setting up Affiliate Managers for publishers. 
They are not sure what face this will take on, but at least some of the main publishers will be assigned these affiliate managers to work with.
They also told me that new formats are being talked about but nothing on the horizon. In fact graphical ads are not being brought up.
This news on the ad types is a bit disappointing. The phone call was nice to receive and the personal affiliate managers is promising but Yahoo needs to improve faster than this. Graphic ads would be an improvement.
The best news is they are improving their targetting. This was the best news he could say. So needless to say things are moving at YPN but slowly. They are proud of being able to pay people through paypal. This is nothing to be excited about to me but I suppose some people this is good news.
Come on Yahoo. You can bring me on staff if you need and I can crank out some great new ideas. Google is leaving you in the dust. I am sticking with YPN for multiple reasons. For one they are targeting good for me and the payout has been great.
Yahoo told me on the phone that the quality of traffic I am sending from my sites is above average and thus when they brought out the quality based pricing I began making more money.
This is all they had to say. Yahoo, step it up.
