I have been doing a few tests
on advertising with Yahoo Search Marketing (YSM) and how it corresponds with Yahoo Publisher Network’s (YPN) payout rates.
I am not free to discuss actuals at this time, but what I have seen over the past 2 months is the weeks that I am advertising on YSM I get higher payout rates per click on YPN.
Coincidence? At first I thought it was but after I saw the weeks drop when I didn’t advertise and go back up when I was advertising I am seeing more than a coincidence. So the key may to be advertise a little bit each day to make my averages click for the day to be considered better quality.
So Yahoo’s quality values its own clicks more than other clicks. What do you think? Have you experienced anything like this? how about those of you who use Google Adsense? Seen anything?

Very interesting article..
YPN is seen as more exclusive than other types of ad systems tho..
I wonder if this applies to Google Adsense / Adwords as well.
Anyone know?
This warrents further investigation for sure. I think that would be a little shady to pay publishers more if they are advertisers as well…
it is called Quality traffic.
