I called Google about the Pagerank

As I have been told by Jeremy Wright as well as Darren Rowse of B5Media (Problogger and Copyblogger) got reconsidered by Google within 24 hours or less upon submitting their reconsideration request to Google.

This reconsideration request actually has a button that you MUST check for reconsideration. By checking this button you say that you admit you broke Google’s Quality terms. I am not sure how Darren broke these terms and without any doubt in my mind did he do anything unethical on his site. He is an upstanding individual.

So on with my story. I requested it shortly after B5Media and their sites did. While Copyblogger and Problogger were given great ranking within 24 hours I have yet to hear back from Google

So I called Google at their phone number listed on the the web: 650-623-4000. They of course wouldn’t let me past their operator. I knew this before I called but hey it is better to say I tried don this site.

Now MoreMerchant as you can see has some text links to which I have been paid. It would be unethical for me to remove them since they have been paid for. Also these text links directly correlate to what this site is published for. This is a site that gives tips on making more and saving more money. Anything to do with credit, credit cards, credit scores, blogging for dollars etc… is what this site is about.

Now Newspapers can sell ads about anything they want and it is not considered bad. Yet my links are specific to what this site is about and I got demoted to a Pagerank of 3. My traffic has not decreased so many would tell me to go away, yet this is a slap in the face or should I say a kick in the face with a golf shoe from Google. They have done me as well as thousands of others harm. They have tried to make our sites look less. It is like me calling you names. This is how Google does that. They lower your pagerank.

So I could go away or I could keep on my quest for the 4 – 5 Pagerank this site should have based on other comparable sites. Yet, as many of you know I am not just fighting for this site. I am fighting for many other sites. You see I have other sites where I make my real online income. MoreMerchant is for fun, my other sites make me money. Most of them use YPN as it pays better than Adsense. They do not sell links, yet Google slapped some of them to a Pagerank 1! Some got a 2 and others got a 3. The only linking going on is a link to other sites on the network. I have removed that and hope that google becomes ethical all of a sudden and moves them to the 4 – 5 that most of them deserve.

I am fighting for all the little people like myself. Big name sites that got their Google love back within hours could care less. They haven’t helped at all. They took care of themselves and ignored all of the should I say… middle class of the world. Come on B5Media take a stand and make a fuss to help us all out.

I to have used the Google reconsideration tool in the Webmaster tools panel. Surprise, surprise still waiting, apparently there is a two-week wait. It is frustrating that Google does not engage its user base there is no communication about what is going on. Google is judge, jury and executioner.

  2. MoreMerchant says:

Yes, but isn’t it interesting that B5Media was reconsidered and updated within 24 hours form one pagerank to the other?

  3. Trainee Trader says:

One would have to assume that Darren has some direct contact with someone at Google. As Darren has such a large user base Google saw the potential for bad Publicity Google upped has Page Rank and then silence from Darren on the Page Rank issue.

  4. MoreMerchant says:

So google gives preferential treatment to those that have more money or resources?

Google then is discriminating against the “middle class”?

  5. Hey it’s worth a try right?

  6. Actually text-link-ads released a Google Approven Text Link Ads Widget. (It’s javascripted with nofollow links so nothing against google)

I cannot seem to get a Google page rank, even though my technorati has gone down. Alexa has a little bit
