People expect too much and too early from an online business. I have read an article saying that with the blogging world being saturated right now, it would take at least 2 years for a blog to earn an substantial income, and even longer if you want to quit your full time job. My expectation now is to have a few extra bucks each month to cover the gas cost for my family traveling. That's my goal for now. Quitting my day job is a dream but I don't put too much hope into it for I know the work and the effort (and a little bit of luck) involve in building an online business.
