Google Makes Yahoo Millions

The problem with Google and their pagerank fiasco. I have this website that I have worked on Yahoo Cashing in on the backs of publisherssince May of 2006. It is good quality information with a great niche. It has done pretty well. Not huge money but it makes me a good $30 – $50 a day on average.

Someone has cloned it. In the past month with the first Google Pagerank update it got taken to a 2, then a 1, and now this week I notice it is a 0. Traffic has not fallen a lot but it has fallen. This site uses YPN (Yahoo Publisher Network) and has generated clicks that average some months $1.10 and on the low months $0.65.

So Google did their update my traffic dropped a little. Then I notice something. YPN payouts dropped from never being lower than .65 and normally being above $1 to now averaging 20 cents.

Is it coincidence or does Yahoo use Google’s Pagerank to determine their quality score? It could just be coincidence, but last year my earnings didn’t drop so I don’t think it is just time of year. I am almost convinced that Yahoo (YPN) uses Google Pagerank.

So Google with their pagerank mess is making Yahoo millions of dollars. You see I don’t believe that Yahoo passes on all the savings to their advertisers. They keep it.

Google once again has taken millions from the average people on the net trying to put money on the table.
