Gas prices have fallen 11 cents this past week to a national average of $3.00. 33% of analysts are expecting gas prices to rise this week while 18% expect it to fall.
It is looking like a long, hot, expensive summer.
Here are 4 ways to save on fuel costs:
1. Carpool – this of course is common sense, but is it? How many people do you know that carpool?
2. Combine trips – make 1 trip instead of multiple trips.
3. Cut out extra trips – similar to combining trips but this takes it another step. Do you really have to run to Starbucks for a coffee or can you just stay at home?
4. Mass Transit – easy to talk about not as easy to get people to take mass transit. Try 1 day a week on mass transit for a month and see how easy it is. Many people find it stress reducing because they are not fighting traffic. Grab a newspaper or good book and read it as your take the easy way to work.
