First Google Chrome Review

This is my first review of Google Chrome, the internet’s newest browser. Google has set out to hit Microsoft where it hurts and not let Microsoft pull any stunts with internet explorer stealing any of the search engine market through any trick they may like to pull with their browser.

So I have been using this browser for the past half an hour or so and find it pretty decent. I like it far better than Microsoft’s I.E. and about the same as Firefox. In fact it seems much quicker than Firefox so I may like it more. Time will tell. So my first impression… Google Chrome is FAST.

That is my first quick review of Google Chrome. Tell me what you think of Google Chrome. What are your first impressions of Google Chrome?

The browser is a good concept, but a little shaky. Some of the fonts rendered are not clear, making it unusable.

The rest of the sites which load fine look good. The browser seems fast, and it a sure firefox killer.

I like you find chrome to be really fast and I was impressed with how easy it was to import my FF3 settings and that I didn’t have to download any silly plug-ins after installation. It still feels very much like a beta, but then again it is a beta. :)

Certain tabs become sluggish and unresponsive with PDF’s open and it doesn’t seem to play well with my wetpaint site. (My wiki)

For now, I will use FF3, but I can see that changing sooner than later.

I was quite excited to install Google Chrome as soon as it was available for public download. However, I am bit disappointed after few hours of use.

I agree that Chrome is light weight and fast. I could open more than 30 tabs and still working fine.

What disappointed me most is, it crashed after few minutes of use. See this Google chrome reviews to find more about the Google chrome crash report

Well The browser is still in Beta it has long way to go yet many tests to pass. It has already failed the security test. Lets see how it will fare. But being Google’s baby I have high hopes on it. The web is the way to go Content and Searching content is way forward that is all Google is trying to establish. With might of Google we can certainly expect better than Google. FireFox still remains my Fav..

Right now, I am also testing Chrome. It is light and fast. But still, I am with Firefox, because of it’s amazing add-ons. Thanks.

Nothing can be said clearly at present. Since only the beta-version has been released, its still in its testing phases. Its various features have been picked up from different open source projects. So the bugs that these projects have, maybe chrome also would be having. Its true that its fast. But it sucks up a lot of memory.
