Escrow and ING Direct $25 Bonus

In Texas property tax is very high. We will pay around $7000 a year or so on our home in taxes. Pretty high! I opted to not use escrow and keep the money myself so I can earn interest through the year.
So I am looking to banks such as ING direct to do this. I am looking for a $25 referral link and have asked a friend to send me one. I get $25 and he gets $10 when i open my account with at least $250.
It is not much but is a nice thank-you from Ingdirect. If you need one I should have a few ING referrals to pass around once I get it opened up.
With me skipping escrow should make me over $175 a year This is money the bank would have kept. The only problem is if you can’t keep the money in the ING account. If you are a person who can’t help but spending your money, then opt for escrow with your bank. Go the safe route. the $175 isn’t worth not paying your taxes at the end of the year.
If you can resist temptation, then give yourself an extra $175 and get a referral to ING from me by commenting on this post.
