Today Ebay Launches the Ebay Partner Network. I signed up in a minute or two and within seconds my approval cam via email. The back-end looks nice and clean and expected from ebay. They are going to push the API’s for developers which should be exciting and help Ebay grow once again.
Tracking should be much better than CJ (Commission Junction). BANS (Build A Niche Store) is actively working to make sure their software works with the new system. This shouldn’t take them long as the switch over does not seem to be tough. If you want to make money on the internet and see Ebay as a great way to do that then BANS and Ebay is the easiest way to make some decent money with little out of your pocket.
I am excited to see this move with Ebay. I feel that this is good for affiliate marketing and online marketing all together.

It’s definitely good for eBay, but I think more important is – why are so many merchants leaving Commission Junction? A lot of big ones have left for Pepperjam or other places. I wonder if CJ doesn’t just have too many clients to manage to do anything new or innovative – I don’t think I’ve seen anything different out of them in years.
all seems to be going well with the new ebay partner network, though tracking seems to switch between very slow and almost immeadiate on the tests I’ve done.
One thing worth noting though, if you are going to be using RSS feeds, you also need to add a custom id as well as selecting campaign or the result is a broken rss feed.
I’ve added the Ebay widget to my blog. I’ll see how it goes. I usually give these thingas a month or two – If there is no revenue I’ll take it down and move Adsense back up the page.
I can’t figure out the Ebay widget Reports at all – I copied and re-copied the Code – but the tracking does not work – I know that I am getting hits and probably sales – but EBAY is not tracking them …. I wonder who’s getting paid – not me ! I’ll try for a few more days then EBAY is gone.
