How do you choose a good domain name? Do you even think a domain is worth it? Is it better to use blogger or blogspot? I have been blogging for years now and make a nice chunk of change on the net every month.
I have been purchasing domains since 1998ish and done very well. I do put thought into domain names, and have even sold some domain names for a nice profit. I am not a person who buys domains just to hold onto them and resell them though. I buy domain names I like.

Domain names are important for a website to give it that unique “brand” or “name”. Unique is the keyword there I think. I have a ton of domains but haven’t been real successful selling any of them yet. I have a problem holding onto things and can’t let go sometimes
I almost always try to get a .com first. If it’s not available, I’ll to see if I can find it for sale somewhere. If I still can’t find it, then I’ll try to think of a variation of the .com to make it work, or I’ll settle for a .net.
I choose my domain name based upon the content of my website, I usually don’t buy and hold just for the sake of reselling later. That could become very addicting for me.
I have been buying domains since 1995 and have once owned over 100. I have made a nice profit from 1999 to 2003 selling off but 12 domains.
A domain is only worth what the buyer is willing to pay.
