Auto Insurance Tips for Canada

No matter what kind of vehicle you are insuring or which Canadian province or territory you live in, a few tips can save money.
Have appropriate deductible. Many people have it set for $500, you may save money if you raise it to $1000. We lowered ours to $50 and found that we liked this better and our insurance rates only went up $2 a month approximately.
If you have more than one vehicle make sure they are insured on the same policy. The second car normally gets a goods discount.
Consider enrolling any teenagers in the household in a defensive driving class. This can save a bundle.
Here is our number one recommendation to save money on your auto insurance. Ask for discounts. Call a couple of times a year and ask for more discounts. Over a period of a couple of years, this will bring down your rates by a bunch.
Also, drive safe, aggressive driving causes accidents and raises rates. So be safe, and ask for discounts!
