I wanted to have some fun and give away some money the other day. I didn’t want to give a way a lot of money so I chose $50. The way I was going to do this was quite easy. I did a post where you could say who helped you make money on the web. You could say thank you to any site and would be entered in for the $50. Sweet I thought. I would have Darren Rowse or John Chow pick the winner and I would send the cash.
I was shocked that out of the 1300+ people that visited the post there was only 15 comments and 2 of those were me. So 13 people could say something positive about another blogger.
Shocking if you ask me? Are bloggers selfish? If so wouldn’t they want the $50? So are bloggers to selfish to say thanks, but not greedy enough to want a quick $50?
Possibly I should have done $500, but then I don’t want to bribe people to get them to say what they appreciate. Just an interesting though about bloggers.
Isn’t blogging about community and relationships?
