Achieve the dream - Why Jake is not Full Time Blogger

I have been
asked more than once the past few weeks why I am not a full time blogger. When you look at me and know what I am making online it is a question I have to ask myself periodically as well.
There are a few reasons why I am not a full time blogger. In all reality I put 40_ hours a week into websites and affiliate marketing (not all blogging) so that should put in the full time category. I like what I do (day job) in the office and that is the difference between me and some other marketers. As Corporate Business Manager it comes with a lot of perks and a fat check by the way.
Could I make more if I was strictly an online guy? Of course I could. I believe I could be making over $20,000 US per month in no time. I am well on my way and have been doing this since 1997, so I have some good stuff out there.
Should I go full time. Probably but I like what I do, isn’t this why we do it? WIll I go full time down the road. There is a good chance that in a couple of years I focus more on full time online marketing. This will allow me to open some other things I want to do in life.
What is it I like to do with my life? I like to help people. I like to feed the poor, help people find jobs, create a better life. I love people. So someday soon this is most likely what I will be doing ans since day jobs like you to be at the job all day, there is a time where my heart will pull me away from this job that I like and this will most likely be through online marketing.
What about you? When will you go full time? What are your goals? Don’t go blindly. Know what you want, and get it. Achieve the dream!

Great drawing. Is this really what you look like? Who drew it?

I asked a similar question this week on my own blog.

I’ve gone full time, but as a corporate blogger. That means either a single full time paid position, or several part time positions which add up.
I don’t know how to make full time money on my own personal blog yet without switching niches.

I would love to blog full time. I have a long way to go before my semi-niche is big enough. I’m working on it though!
