Do you still use Internet Explorer? I am sorry if you do. You have to switch to something else. Anything else! I used to use Maxthon but switched over to Firefox quite a while ago. I really liked Maxthon but at the time I made the switch to Firefox I was sure happy that I did.
I made some changed to my Firefox the other day and it really helped.
Speed up Firefox. If you have a broadband connection, you can speed up your page loads. This allows Firefox to load multiple things on a page instead of one at a time. By default, it’s optimized for dialup connections (why??). Here is what you need to do:
1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Type “network.http” in the filter field, and change the following settings (double-click on them to change them):
2. Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
3. Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
4. Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to 30. This will allow it to make 30 requests at one time. Originally I tried 100 here and it didn’t seem to help. When I went with 30 I noticed an improvement. ** Update 8 is actually recommended by Firefox **
5. Right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

I’ve had FF set up like this for a while I’ve found if you start at around 14-15, then go up by one (for the pipelining max requests) ,and keep loading the same page you’ll get a more accurate number, but it does take time, so 30 is a good number.
And the fifth part I didn’t know that and that seemed to help even more. overall good job. You can also find out how to speed up Firefox just by searching for it on youtube, metacafe, yahoo answers, etc..
These are good tips indeed. They make the pages load WAY faster. However, is there a way to make stumble upon not show these same tips every five stumbles? (the only difference on a different blog?)

Changing network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to anything more then 8 won’t have an effect.
