4 Wedding Blunders that Cost Years of $$

Most people get married at least once in their life. Some get married 2, 3, 4, and more times. 4 Wedding Blunders that Cost Years of $$They liked the first marriage so much they thought they would do it some more!

Did you know that a large percentage of marriages end in divorce due to bad money management? It could be your future spouse that is bad at money management or yourself, but if you are ever going to get married here are 4 simple tips to save your marriage.

1. Buying expensive rings on credit – Want to show how much you love your fiancee? So you go buy the biggest ring and finance it. You CAN’T afford it. The old rule of thumb was 3 months of your income should be how much you spend on a ring. I think that you and your future spouse should agree that you will show your love in a different way. Show it by saving some money on your ring and giving your marriage a better chance of survival! What an idea. I love you so I am going to put the odds in our favor that our marriage lasts more than 2 – 3 years.

2. Honeymoon that is over the top – once again save money in this area. Have a nice honeymoon. Memories will be made here. Good memories for sure, but most will be behind closed doors, so how much you spend doesn’t matter.

3. Wedding that is outrageous – Do what you can afford. I heard today of someone that had a nice wedding and spent a total of $900. Can you believe it? This was a wedding that was 1 years ago. So prices are up, but be reasonable.

4. Don’t plan ahead – You are planning on spending your entire life with this gal or guy. Why not plan ahead. Why not get a budget together months BEFORE your wedding. Figure it out. Plan out how you are going to live, save, give, etc.

These are some simple things to do that will increase your odds to stay married. Does a fancy wedding and honeymoon to go along with that huge diamond matter at all when you are divorced in a few shorts years?

If you need some help with a budget let me know. I have many years of experience in this area. Spending a few hundred bucks on me helping you plan the rest of your life will be worth it.

If you are looking for a great married life for many years to come, sensible planning now can help it be a reality.

I spent a little over $1,000 dollars on my wedding and it was beautiful! I had 50 guests, it was held at a country club (both the ceremony and the reception) and we had plenty of food and champagne flowing. I had my mother make my dress and splurged on my wedding cake ($350.00). The entire wedding was gorgeous and my husband and I have been married for over 10 years. I tried to tell my sister all of this as she is getting married next year, but she of course has already spent over $3,000 on her wedding dress.

P.S. I am the matron of honor at my sisters wedding and it is going to cost me $4,000 to attend and be in her wedding. Quite alot considering my entire wedding was done for 1/4 of that price! lol.

  2. Most affiliate marketers who are making decent money these days are promoting Cost Per Action, or CPA offers. The reason for this marketers don’t need to close high cost sales in order to get commission for a conversion.
