Credit card holders should know how to handle their
credit cards carefully and properly. This is in order to get the benefits and have a better shot at living with freedom and convenience that really come with a Visa or Mastercard credit card. Here are a few simple tips on how one can get the most of yourcredit card.
Pay promptly ALWAYS. This is the most basic yet the most important of all the tips. If this is completely covered then there is a big chance that one can preserve and hype up his credit ratings. Just make sure you pay the minimum balance required or pay some extra amount if you can afford it. Paying the full amount too can save a lot on interest charges.
Should there be any difficulty in paying the full amount on time, the cardholder should be very conscious about how he uses his credit card. He should know when to stop charging purchases. Self-discipline is key here or the good credit score goes down the drain.
Be meticulous when looking at your credit card billing statements monthly. Double-check the figures and if the payments are correctly updated. Learn to detect if there are extra charges on your credit card statement that shouldn’t be there so you don’t get billed more than you really spent.
If there is more than one credit card being maintained, it will be a smarter move to transfer the balance in just one credit card that offers the lowest interest rates. This will simplify the credit card payments since you only have one billing to worry about.
These credit card tips will help maintain your sanity from not being buried in credit card debt.

Hi Jake, Just found your blog and I am so glad that I did! I had just mentioned that I wanted to try and call Visa (Bank of America) to see if they will negotiate going down on my interest rate a little more? But I’m probably not going to get too far with this economy slide that we are in. What’s your thoughts on that. I have been very good about paying on time and try to pay a little extra when I can, but always pay the amount asked for. Thanks for any advice I’ll be back….
