I am trying Wordpress 2.8 and so far it seems faster. There are a lot of extra features such as custom headers and such. So far I am just getting into Wordpress and happy but most of the changes to make a difference to me.
New drag-and-drop widgets admin interface and new widgets which is pretty cool. I love the ability to browse the theme directory and install themes from the admin.
All in all this is a great upgrade.
