MoreMerchant link teamI am starting a quick promo group that will run behind the scenes. Basically we scratch each others backs so to speak. I deep link you from time to time in return for some links.

Is this unethical? Of course not. All we are doing is linking top quality content that we are interested in. This helps the small to medium sized blog to find new readers and develop strength with Google.

Can I be punished by Google? Of course not. This is what Google wants. It wants quality content links and not spam sites. Thus quality posts get better search results.

Up and Coming Web Entrepreneurs

Booth Babes Introduce - Up and Coming BloggersI am thinking of beginning a weekly series on the up and coming web entrepreneurs. At first I thought I would limit it up and coming bloggers. Now that I have thought about it I do feel that most of these will be bloggers but fro time to time their claim to “up and coming” fame might not be their blog.

So what do you think? If you like the idea do you want to nominate someone? Possibly yourself?

Alright the email response has been very positive. I am going to be taking nominations for these. If you are someone or you know someone who would like to be spotlighted for their online efforts then let me know!

I am NOT looking for people who are already successful. I am looking for those that are Up and Coming. I don’t need just John Chow and Darren Rowse. I am looking for the people that can benefit from the spotlight!

Should I give Entrecard another Shot since Google is Evil?

If you have read my blog lately I got rid of Entrecard for one reason. I was alerted from a friend at Google that they were going to punish sites that were using it. I trust this friend so I removed it. Then of course Google does their pagerank update the past couple of days and MoreMerchant.com gets SPANKED royally. Moremerchant currently sits at a 0.

I do hope that Google fixes this soon. This site doesn’t deserve a 0 nor does it deserve a 7 or 8, but somewhere in the middle is where it should sit. This site has been around for awhile and been very consistent. It is a Top 35 by Technorati bases on Fans, does fairly well in Alexa thus I would hope Google would at least honor the hard work with a 3 or 4. I think a 5 is more deserving but shoot a 1 at this point would feel better than a slap in the fast.

So I am reconsidering putting Entrecard back on. While I have liked Google in the past it almost seems as if Entrecard send higher quality of traffic. Of course with Entrecard you get the people who just click, but you also get a large percentage or consistent readers.

What do you think? Should I give Entrecard another shot since Google can’t be trusted?

Google Please Go the Way of Sears

You know Google is evil. I make them thousands each months from letting them put Adsense on my sites, yet they strike me with a Pagerank 0. A big fat zero. WHY!? What am I doing any different than other bloggers?

Eh? Who knows, Google is evil and loves to hate. They love to try to ruin people’s world. You know what? The more they have tried to strike me like this the more I have earned. So now a Pagerank 0 with no warning and I assume I will go up once again in earnings.

UGH! Frustrating anyway. Hard work shouldn’t payoff in this way. Google I hope you go the way of Sears.
