If you have read my blog lately I got rid of Entrecard for one reason. I was alerted from a friend at Google that they were going to punish sites that were using it. I trust this friend so I removed it. Then of course Google does their pagerank update the past couple of days and MoreMerchant.com gets SPANKED royally. Moremerchant currently sits at a 0.

I do hope that Google fixes this soon. This site doesn’t deserve a 0 nor does it deserve a 7 or 8, but somewhere in the middle is where it should sit. This site has been around for awhile and been very consistent. It is a Top 35 by Technorati bases on Fans, does fairly well in Alexa thus I would hope Google would at least honor the hard work with a 3 or 4. I think a 5 is more deserving but shoot a 1 at this point would feel better than a slap in the fast.

So I am reconsidering putting Entrecard back on. While I have liked Google in the past it almost seems as if Entrecard send higher quality of traffic. Of course with Entrecard you get the people who just click, but you also get a large percentage or consistent readers.

What do you think? Should I give Entrecard another shot since Google can’t be trusted?
