WordPress 2.5.1 Image Problems

I have tried the WordPress 2.5 image fixes and have got past the initial HTTP error. Unfortunately I am not able to get any of the images to be inserted into any new posts.

I am pretty busy but will get this fixed soon.

Moving Subdomain Blog to its Own Domain

I have a niche blog on a subdomain. The niche has really taken off and done nicely. It makes me around $1000 per month without even trying (Yahoo Publisher and Google Adsense only). As part of my yearly goals I have decided to move this to its own domain and better monetize the site.

There are a handful of tutorials on the net on how to migrate a WordPress blog to a new domain. There seems to be many different ways to accomplish this migration. As I complete this switch from the old subdomain to its own domain I will walk you through the steps to move a blog to a new domain.

If you have any tips or have accomplished this type of move please let us know with a comment below.

Fraug with Gmail and PaypalYesterday was crazy. I had a trip to take down Port Freeport for business. I made a run into work first to check on a few things. While I was there I happened to check my email and couldn’t get into my main account at Gmail.

Weird, I thought but nothing else. So I checked another Gmail account because I had a few seconds while I waited for something to print. I logged in and there was a declined payment from my Paypal account.

I couldn’t remember any payments recently and this one was for $250. Something for $250 should be something I remember. So I logged into my Paypal account and sure enough something was sent from my account to someone in Nigeria. It was rejected [Read more...]

The Have’s and Have Not’s

Have you HEARD!

First some airlines started charging for anyone taking a second checked bag on flights. I thought OK, I can live with this. I never take 2 checked items except when coming back with boxes of fish from fishing in Alaska.

Then American Airlines (AA) announced they were charging for the first checked bag. This is overboard, but I can live with it I suppose. It would be nice if I knew that this would translate to lower fares for those that don’t check luggage to compensate for less work by airline employees, but I know it won’t.

All it will translate to is fatter bonuses for corporate top dogs.

Then I get this unequal treatment from American Airlines: [Read more...]
