How to bring Home a Check from the Internet
Filed under: Blogging, Featured, Make Money on Web, Misc
If you are one of the many daily readers of MoreMerchant.com you have seen a drop off since December from 2 - 3 posts a day to 2 - 3 a week on a good week. I am a professional blogger who recommends consistency in posts. So why this lack of inconsistency you ask?
LIFE.
Yes, that is right. Life is keeping me busy. From health things with the family, Christmas, my day job, and all the other stuff that can make you need 48 hours in a day!
Is this bad? NOPE! I am loving life. So I keep pushing forward. I am still answering many blogging questions via email to those that contact MoreMerchant.
Other than that, keep Consistent! Consistency is the key to bringing home a check on the internet.
Interest Rates Down, What about Credit Card Rates?
Filed under: Credit Cards, Credit Score, Featured, Save Money
Have you heard the news? Interest rates are dropping! The bad news is credit card rates are not. Why? The financial credit crisis at many banks has led to the banks raising rates instead of lowering the credit card rates.
People with great credit scores can still find some pretty good deals, but lower credit scores today translates to higher rates.
What should you do to make sure your credit card interest rates don’t shoot up? Pay attention. Read the mail that your credit cards send you. The fine print will often tell you about your raising rates. Call the companies and ask for a lower rate. Tell them you are looking elsewhere and need a better rate to keep you as a customer.
Whatever you do, pay attention. You can save yourself money by checking into things and putting a few minutes of time into your credit card statements.
HubLove Contest
Welcome, participants in the HubLove contest at HubPages!
Here is today’s clue:
Part 1:
mqjeffrey has a Hub that mentions the name
of Richard the Lion Hearted’s minstrel. He shares the name of a French
architect whose formula for the relationship between the rise and run of this
is used to this day. Also the name of a Russian military air base.
Part 2: reversing the answer from part 1 gives you today’s topic.
Be sure to leave your guess at the Hub for this clue,
not here at MoreMerchant.
And although we’re in day 11 of the 30 day
contest, it’s definitely not too late to join and compete for the $5000
Killer Hubbing Prize, consisting of a MacBook Pro, Canon digital SLR camera,
Sony camcorder and iPod Touch! Check
out the details here!
Yahoo (YPN) Ripping of Publishers due to Microsoft Takeover
Filed under: Affiliate Marketing, Blog Advertising, Blogging, Featured, Make Money on Web, Online Advertising
I am not sure if you are paying any attention to Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) and their payours per click lately. Those of you who aren’t YPN publishers may not even care, but ever since the Microsoft offer to takeover Yahoo, the rates have crashed.
Interesting? Not really. My guess is that Yahoo is grabbing for cash. They are going to stockpile as much cash as they can to resist a takeover. So they are doing it at the expense of their publishers.
Even more reason to sell ads direct, and diversify.
