Yahoo’s Quality-Based Pricing
Yahoo! Publisher Network released Quality-Based Pricing almost 2 weeks ago and I am beginning to formulate my thoughts. I have kept quiet on my blogging network as well as not posting comments on other sites. I wanted to see results. I read a lot of complaining on various sites, but there were no facts. I needed to see numbers and I knew all the complaining in the world wasn’t going to change what YPN had done.
The results are in and I am very pleased with Yahoo’s Quality-Based Pricing. I am making almost 50% more than before Quality-Based Pricing took affect. So my sites must be high quality.
For example on one site I jumped from an average around .65 cents a click to $1.20 a click. Almost double per click. In these 2 weeks I got a great raise. Now this could all change down the road, but as for now Quality-Based Pricing from YPN is great.
Now if I had a low quality site I am sure the results would not be so good, but I put a lot of work into making quality sites and I am happy to get paid for my quality. In the past we all got paid the same rate which means low quality leached off of quality sites. So now you get what you earn.
Way to go YPN! Thanks for putting your efforts into a better quality ad system.
